SWIX’s PS Polar glide wax is specifically designed for extreme cold conditions and delivers outstanding performance at temperatures between -14°C and -32°C. It is particularly well-suited for use in low-humidity conditions and on artificial snow, where it impresses with its long-lasting performance. Thanks to its unique formula, it can be used on its own as a racing wax or in combination with other racing products to enhance performance in warmer temperatures and high humidity. Applying PS Polar wax requires a high-quality waxing iron, which should be set to a temperature of 155°C. Application should be done quickly, within 8–10 seconds, to ensure optimal distribution on skating or alpine skis. After application, it is advisable to reheat the wax after a cooling period of about 10 minutes to further improve its durability. Stripping should ideally be done one minute after applying the wax. This product offers excellent gliding properties under dry friction and performs particularly well on artificial snow. It replaces the previous CH4X model and is ideally suited for both training and competition use.
