With previous thermal garments, the fabrics either were too warm during activity, or the nature of the fabric did bunch in critical such as behind the knee. The thermal fabrics used now are light. The thermal fabric is designed for activity. The garment is meant to be used dynamically to ensure consistent thermal regulation but not to overheat the body causing increased energy loss. If you want to lie in the snow and make snow angle shapes, this garment is not for you. These garments can comfortably be used whilst running from -10 degrees Celsius to 10 degrees Celsius.
